A little of my own story…

I grew up on a farm of sorts outside Whitefish, MT. The mountains have always felt like home to me, which explains why I’ve spent most of my life exploring them in one way or another—on horseback, skis, bikes, and my own two feet.

It took a lot of different jobs—barista, horse trainer, office manager, special education teacher, to name only a few—for me to figure out this was the one I really wanted to do. I had a lot of ideas about what I should be and what it meant to be successful, and I had to fail a lot of times, get burned out, and go to grad school twice to end up here. What it really comes down to for me is: people matter. Pursuits and achievements cannot provide the same kind of fulfillment as relationships. Both with ourselves and with other people.

I am on my own journey of learning and growing, and I view it as the utmost privilege to be able to be part of other people’s journeys toward healing and becoming more fully themselves.

We are all, only human…

Many people walk through my door looking for the magical formula to be whole, to be fixed, to be enough. Whether struggling with anger, hopelessness, feeling broken beyond repair, or desperate to be fixed, you are welcome here.

No one ever fixed me. But what therapy did do was guide me and empower me to find wholeness and healing within myself.

And so can you.
